Who said, "HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE?"

Fall has come and that means APPLES, APPLES, APPLES!! We went apple pickin' this past Saturday and today we made our famous "Cinnamon Applesauce - slightly chunky!" The process took us all day and we net 7 quarts plus a whoppin' large bowl for the family.

What a great day of homeschooling - daily living skills, working together, planning, measuring, cooking, and even a little writing!
It is hard work - makes you appreciate what the pioneers did day-in and day-out. This is when I long for a BIG country kitchen with lots of deep counters. We hope to pick up more apples in the next week to make another batch.
