Cape Canaveral

We left Orlando on Friday and stayed overnight near the Kennedy Space Center. It was one of those stops that you have always wanted to do, and know we can officially check it off the list. Below, Hannah and Jacob were willing participants in a production about the Solar System.

After touring the different space crafts, the kids pretended to be astronauts--but wait!?? Where is Thomas - oh yah, he is too old for this silliness. Oh the problems of being 14...

Everyone but Mom and Jacob rode the simulator. Lots of motion sickness warnings, so the thrill seekers rode it alone.

Hannah, James and Jacob got into the nose of the shuttle and had to lay on their backs to simulate what it felt like for the astronauts. Pretty cool!
